Our beautifully rich dark roast, Nine Stops, memorializes the daily train stops to Terra Alta at the height of the town's heyday. Locals and summer guests filled the town streets to patronize the many banks, grocers, churches, restaurants, boutiques, and the Ford dealership. Terra Altans are at the beginning of a renaissance to restore our town as "The Shining City on a Hill."

Dark roast coffee is a type of coffee that is roasted for a longer period of time, resulting in a more intense flavor and darker color. This type of coffee is characterized by its bold and rich taste, which is often accompanied by notes of chocolate or caramel. Dark roast coffee typically has a lower acidity level than lighter roasts, making it a popular choice for those who prefer a stronger and more robust cup of coffee.
Nine Stops pairs well with a variety of foods. Some good food combos include chocolate croissants, cinnamon rolls, bacon and egg breakfast sandwiches, and dark chocolate. For savory options, try pairing dark roast coffee with a hearty breakfast of eggs, bacon, and toast, or a steak and eggs breakfast. Dark roast coffee can also complement spicy or smoky flavors, making it a great pairing for BBQ, chili, or spicy breakfast burritos.
To brew a delicious dark roast coffee, start with freshly roasted beans and grind them just before brewing. Use a French press or a pour-over method to extract the full flavor and add hot water that's just off the boil. Let the coffee steep for 3-4 minutes before pressing or removing the filter. Serve immediately and enjoy the bold and rich taste of your dark roast coffee. If you don't have all the time to use that method, Nine stops also tastes great using a drip coffee maker.
Dark roast coffee is often considered the best due to its bold and rich flavor profile. The beans are roasted for a longer period of time, resulting in a deeper, smoky taste with a lower acidity level. Additionally, dark roast coffee contains less caffeine than light or medium roast coffee, making it a great choice for those who want to enjoy the taste of coffee without the jitters. Overall, dark roast coffee is a great option for coffee lovers who enjoy a bold and full-bodied flavor.
